Very early antique quilted petticoat. This quilted piece has seen years and years of love and use, but is still full of so much potential. This is not a flat piece, but rather a looped one that has been seamed together and includes a beautifully attached hem tape at the top edge. Features a beautiful red and blue floral pattern common in the mid 1800’s. Would look lovely in a stack of primitive textiles or could be used for a project or a historically accurate costume.
Please note this piece has heavy wear and is believed to be very very old. Batting shows throughout. Staining on front and back. Not in excellent condition, but an amazing piece of textile history. See photos for condition examples.
